Privacy Policy

The Dadan MCP gateway ("the gateway") lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT access your Dadan account on your behalf, with your explicit sign-in and consent. This policy explains what data the gateway handles and how. The gateway is operated by Dadan (dadan.io).

What we collect and why

• Account authentication tokens. When you connect an AI assistant and sign in with your Dadan account, the gateway stores the resulting Dadan access credential so the assistant can act as you. Your Dadan password is never stored by the gateway — you sign in on Dadan's own pages, and the gateway only receives the resulting token. Tokens are encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, encrypted at rest with a managed key, and scoped to your own account only.
• Tool-call records. For security, abuse prevention, and support we keep an audit log of tool activity: which tool was called, when, by which connected account and client. We do not store your video content, transcripts, or the content of tool responses in these logs.
• Operational telemetry. Aggregate counters (calls per tool, error rates, rate-limit events) used to keep the service healthy.

What we do NOT do

• We do not store your videos on the gateway — media stays on Dadan's platform and content delivery network (media.dadan.io). Direct uploads from the in-chat upload widget go from your browser straight to Dadan's storage; the bytes never pass through the gateway or the AI model.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
• We do not access accounts other than the one you signed in with, and the gateway enforces per-user rate limits as a safeguard against runaway automation.

What the AI assistant sees

When you ask your AI assistant to use Dadan, the tool results (video titles, transcripts, analytics, links you request) are returned to that assistant to answer you. The gateway only shares information returned by the specific tool you invoke — your AI assistant does not receive unrestricted access to your Dadan account, and has no access outside the tools.

Once tool results are returned to your AI assistant, their handling is governed by the privacy policy of the AI provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or another MCP client). Dadan does not control how those providers retain or process information after it has been returned through the MCP tools.

Third parties we rely on

• Dadan platform (app.dadan.io) — your account and content, under the Dadan privacy policy.
• Hosting — the gateway runs on managed cloud infrastructure in the EU region.
• Media delivery/storage — Dadan's content delivery network (media.dadan.io).

Retention & deletion

Stored tokens are deleted when you disconnect the integration from your AI assistant or revoke access, and expire automatically otherwise. Audit records are retained for 90 days for security purposes, then deleted. To request deletion of gateway data connected to your account, contact us below.

Your choices

• Disconnect the Dadan connector in your AI assistant's settings at any time — this stops all access.
• Ask us to delete stored gateway data for your account.
